For a few weeks now we have had Clone Wars' Dave Filoni has been dropping hints about research and work for a new show...
Well, he doesn't disappoint!
In the Fall of 2014 we will be treated to Star Wars Rebels, a show set in the cinematic dark times between Episode III and IV. StarWars.com tells us:
"The action-filled series is set between the events of Episode III and IV
— an era spanning almost two decades never-before explored on-screen.
Star Wars Rebels takes place in a time where the Empire is securing its
grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights as a
fledgling rebellion against the Empire is taking shape. Details about
the show are a closely guarded secret at this point."
Now this is the sort of news we've all been waiting for!
Alongside Dave we have Greg Weisman, Simon Kinberg and a slew of the creative talent that made The Clone Wars the finest show on television.
The passion for the time period and the love for the art of Ralph McQuarrie that comes across so much in this video that I think we have something very special to look forward to, I know my mind is racing at the possibilities.
